ENZYVITAL – ORS Powder is an oral rehydration formulation containing Sodium Chloride IP 2.6 g, Potassium Chloride IP 1.5 g, Sodium Citrate 2.9 g, and Dextrose IP (Anhydrous) 13.5 g per pack. It is designed to help replace fluids and essential electrolytes lost from the body, particularly during dehydration associated with diarrhoea and other conditions involving fluid loss.
The combination of sodium, potassium, citrate, and glucose supports effective intestinal absorption of water and electrolytes, helping restore and maintain normal fluid and electrolyte balance. The powder should be dissolved in the specified quantity of clean water before oral use, according to the product instructions.
Common Side Effect
ENZYVITAL – ORS Powder is generally well tolerated when prepared and taken as directed. Possible side effects may include:
- Nausea or vomiting
- Mild stomach discomfort or bloating
- Temporary increase in thirst
- Mild abdominal cramps
- Changes in bowel movements
Important: Incorrect preparation, such as using too little water or consuming excessive quantities, can result in electrolyte imbalance. Always dissolve the contents in the exact quantity of water specified on the product label.
How to Use
First boil water , then let it cool down and then dissolve entire content of the sachet in one liter of boiled & cooled water and stir. Use only in recommended dilution. Any portion of the solution prepared from the oral powder that remains unused for 24 hours after preparation should be discarded.
