PODOGLO™ 200 Tablet contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP equivalent to Cefpodoxime (Anhydrous) 200 mg in each film-coated tablet. Cefpodoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections.

It works by inhibiting bacterial cell-wall synthesis, thereby preventing the growth of susceptible bacteria. Depending on the causative organism and clinical assessment, cefpodoxime may be prescribed for certain respiratory tract, ear, throat, urinary tract, and skin and soft-tissue bacterial infections.

The tablet is film coated and contains Titanium Dioxide IP as a colouring/opacifying agent. It should be used only under the direction of a qualified healthcare professional and is not effective against viral infections.
